Staithes Cottages

Staithes Cottages offer a selection of more than a dozen beautiful self-catering holiday cottages in the picturesque village of Staithes, North Yorkshire. This is the perfect location for an active or family holiday in the area. The cottages are 10 miles north of Whitby and set in some of the most picturesque countryside and unspoilt stretches of the North Yorkshire coast, with the beach just a minute away. All cottages are well equipped to ensure that you have a wonderful stay, all feature fully equipped kitchens, some have open fires, beamed ceilings, flat screen TV’s and much more.

Staithes is a beautiful fishing village with a harbour. It is a destination for many travellers, geologists and fossil hunters; and was, famously, the home of a community of well-known artists called The Staithes Group in the late 19th century. The young James Cook also worked here as an apprentice shopkeeper before seeking fame and fortune on the sea. If you have young children, you will recognise Staithes as the location for the CBBC series Old Jacks Boat.
