George & Dragon Inn

The George and Dragon Inn is a former 17th Century coaching inn which has been greeting travellers in the Welsh border town of Knighton for centuries. With excellent food, friendly lounge bar and comfortable guest rooms, it is ideal for walkers travelling along the Offas Dyke footpath or anyone exploring this historical and beautiful area. We are close to the railway station and have secure storage for bicycles.

Inside you can see many of the original features have been kept intact, with stone walls, exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces. Our 5 guestrooms are situated in the old stables round the back of the main building, offering comfort and modern en suite facilities. All are equipped with TV, radio alarm clock and refreshment trays. We have 2 double rooms and 3 twin rooms and have use of a drying room. We are family and pet friendly.

Our bar is a great place to relax, have a game of pool or try a local ale. We offer a delicious range of bar snacks and freshly prepared classic pub food in the evening. Whether you are staying with us, or just calling in, you will always be welcome at the George and Dragon.
