The Jug & Bottle

The Jug and Bottle is a traditional pub nestled away in the heart of Heswall on the Wirral peninsula. We are within half an hour of both Liverpool and Chester and just 5 minutes off the M53 motorway. You will find wholesome British food, local ales, quality wines and comfortable guest rooms here. The Jug is full of character with open fires and different cosy areas to hide away in. We are a Visit 4-Star accredited inn.

The Jug has 6 bedrooms, all of which are spacious and comfortable with en suite facilities, LCD television, free Wifi, plus tea and coffee making facilities. We have double, twin, single and family rooms. Many of our rooms enjoy views over the Dee Estuary to the hills of North Wales or over to the skyline of Liverpool and over the gardens surrounding the guesthouse.

Our bar serves a great selection of local beers and some really good wines. Our award-winning menu is a mix of British cuisine, some familiar classics and other dishes. In the summer we use our large decking overlooking the surrounding gardens with glimpses of the Dee estuary and North Wales.
