Banners House Hotel

Banners House Hotel is a former coaching inn offering a great place to stay in the historic village of Markinch, near Glenrothes. Extensively refurbished to offer elegant guest rooms and restaurant you will enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our 5 rooms are stylishly furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary facilities, so you can expect to find solid furniture, antique rugs, mood lighting, Apple TV, free Wifi, inbuilt speakers, room service, hospitality tray and en suite facilities with organic toiletries. We have suites with freestanding baths and king-sized beds as well as our serviced studio apartment for 2 guests.

Breakfast includes a delicious choice including porridge drizzled with honey, homemade granola, Eggs Benedict, toasted muffin, poached egg and Hollandaise Sauce, Banners Potatoes (fried eggs and new potatoes fried with onion and chilli), chunky French toast, omelettes, a Big Brekkie, No-Meat Big Brekkie, breakfast baguette or Scottish smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Our restaurant is open throughout the day and the hotel bar offers a variety of beverages including Scottish real ales, whiskies and cocktails.
