Melfort House

Matthew and Yvonne would like to welcome you to their beautiful family-owned bed and breakfast on the shores of Loch Melfort by Kilmelford. Melfort House is a stunning home surrounded by mature grounds and gardens offering magnificent views across the water and countryside. Mentioned in Sawdays Special Places to Stay, it is a haven for rest and relaxation with great hospitality from the family.

We have 3 spacious rooms, all decorated with country style furnishings. All have en suite facilities or private bathrooms, TV, DVD and beverage tray. The Loch Room has fantastic views across the loch and gardens with sitting area featuring comfortable armchairs. The Hill Room can be arranged as a super king or twin beds with views across the Melfort Hills and the Garden Room provides a romantic setting looking out to the beautiful woodland trees. We offer many Scottish delights for breakfast including a Full Scottish breakfast, using eggs from our own hens, Loch Fyne Kippers or homemade tatty scones. We also offer afternoon teas and delicious home cooked dinners using produce from our own garden.

Surrounded by beautiful walks we are only 15 miles from Oban, where you can visit the distillery, museums or go island hopping.
