James' Place at Brynawel

James Place at Brynawel is a delightful Victorian house offering a boutique room and self-catering studio in the Welsh town of Merthyr Tydfil. Adjacent to the Thomastown Park with stunning views over the Merthyr Valley, and only a 2 minute walk into the town centre, it is an excellent location for your family holiday or away break.

Our Blue Room offers French-inspired stylish decor with fantastic views of the countryside, with en suite facilities, TV, double bed, free Wifi and beverage tray with homemade Welsh cakes. Our Studio offers contemporary decor with super king size bed, bistro table and chairs and fully equipped kitchen.

We are close to the beautiful mountains of the Brecon Beacons which offer excellent walking, cycle routes and a variety of exhilarating outdoor activities. The mountain railway offers a great way to explore the scenery from the comfort of a railway carriage.
