Sandringham Hotel

The Sandringham Hotel is a stunning family-run hotel in the city centre of Cardiff. Dating back to the 1880s, and formerly known as The Black Lion, you can still see the stone lion on top the building! Today we are renowned for our live jazz performances, and even renamed our onsite restaurant Cafe Jazz.

We pride ourselves on excellent customer service to make all our guests fee welcome. We have 24 hour reception so we are always on hand to help. We have single, double, twin and triple rooms available, all with TV, Wifi, free toiletries, direct dial telephone, room service and hospitality tray. A delicious breakfast is served in Cafe Jazz, which is open throughout the day for light bites and meals. We offer vegetarian, gluten-free dishes and a childrens menu.
