The George and Dragon is a family owned 17th century country inn in the beautiful town of Kirkbymoorside. We are just 10 minutes from Helmsley or Pickering, and on the cusp of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. Rated 4-Stars we offer fine food, local ales and a comfortable place to stay, with owners Alison, David and Laura ready to wish you a warm welcome!

We have 20 rooms, all decorated in a contemporary style whilst keeping some original features like the characterful exposed beams. All guest rooms have en suite facilities with TV and hospitality tray. We also have our delightful 4-poster bed suite with Jacuzzi bath, comfortable sofa and French doors leading to the garden. We offer a hearty Full Yorkshire breakfast that is freshly prepared and served in our restaurant every morning.

Our bar has an extensive range of beverages from around the world including 34 gin varieties to choose from, and our restaurant offers good food at lunch time and evening with a special childrens menu available.
