Diane, Mary and Frank would like to welcome you to their family home Stanhope Old Hall. Dating back to the 12th Century, Stanhope now welcomes guests to stay in this magnificent building. Surrounded by elegant grounds and against the backdrop of the stunning Northern Pennines, you will feel like you have gone delightfully back in time.

Our bedrooms are elegant and individually styled, mixing the charm of the original building with the comfort of contemporary furnishings. We have 8 rooms to choose from, named after the local areas, including our Northumberland Room with 4-poster bed, roll top bath and sitting area or the Yorkshire Room with king-sizes and twin beds for families, offering cosy furnishings and stone walls. All our rooms have en suite facilities with free toiletries, TV, hospitality tray and fabulous garden views. There is also a guest lounge for you to relax in.

A hearty Full English breakfast is included and served in our grand dining room using fresh local- sourced ingredients, including eggs from our own hens! Our restaurant is open from Friday to Sunday for fine dining and Stanhope village has delightful tea rooms and pubs.
