East Byermoor Cottages are peacefully nestled in countryside close to Whickham in the Derwent Valley, 3 miles from the MetroCentre and 7 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne city centre. Offering 2 superb self-catering cottages sleeping from 3 to 6 guests, visitors will find fantastic views, parking, nearby bus stops, local amenities and amazing attractions to explore in the area. Fellstone Cottage is a 2-bedroomed property. The open plan sitting / dining room is bright and spacious and features a woodburning stove. The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes a handy dishwasher. There is also a utility room area. The main double bedroom has en suite shower room facilities, whilst the second double is served by the family bathroom comprising a bath with shower over, a wash hand basin and WC.

Eaststone Cottage is also a 2-bedroomed holiday home, with underfloor heating throughout. Two large arched windows provide an abundance of light to the open plan kitchen / living room and the kitchen is fully kitted out for self-catering, including appliances such as an oven with hob, microwave, fridge and washer / dryer. There is also a double and a single bedroom, both served by a modern shower room.

The cottages are ideally located for visiting major attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Cathedral, Beamish Museum, the Northumberland coast and of course, Newcastle and Gateshead. Whickham offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus a golf club and cricket club. Nearby Whickham Thorns Outdoor Centre has dry ski slopes, snow tubing, a climbing wall, archery, mountain biking, orienteering and more.
