Portland House

Portland Housse is a Grade II-listed Georgian House in Whitchurch, a village located near Symonds Yat and the Doward Hills. We offer self-catering for up to 20 guests.

The ground floor day room has a sofa bed and futon. A small conservatory overlooks the garden. Alongside the day room is a bathroom / wet area with WC. The dining room can seat 20, plus the kitchen / breakfast room has table seating for up to 8. High chairs are available. The kitchen has an Aga (only on during October to March), double electric ovens and grill, 4-ring gas hob and 2 electric rings. There are also 2 microwaves, fridge / freezer, utensils and china sufficient for 20 people. The utility contains a dishwasher, and the boot room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer.

On the first floor, the Monmouth Suite has a king-size 4-poster bed, as well as a Victorian bathroom complete with roll top bath. The spacious Hunter Suite overlooks farmland, has a king-size bed and bunk beds for a family of 4, with a large shower en-suite. Other en-suite bedrooms include the Magnolia Room (treble); the Doward Room, (twin or super-king) and Marstow Room (double). On the second floor, The Ross Suite has 2 adjoining bedrooms to accommodate a family or group of 6. This suite is equipped with TV, DVD as well as such as chess, family games and a dolls house.
