The Dorset

The Dorset on Malling Street, Lewes, was built in 1670. It is about 100 steps from the famous Harveys Brewery, the oldest independent brewery in Sussex. We are located at the lower end of Lewes town centre, close to the South Downs Way and just a stones throw from Brighton.

This Harveys pub has been expanded and modernised, yet is still a traditional town pub. There is a huge log fire, quirky back bar area and expansive front garden area, great for outside drinks in the summer. We are a very friendly pub where walkers are welcome and we have always got somewhere to store your bike!

Our brilliant kitchen team create delicious pub classics with something for everyone. Our accommodation includes 6 en-suite bedrooms; all are comfortable and good value, with free WiFi, a TV and a late night security card entrance. An optional cold buffet breakfast is available including a selection of juices, cereals and yogurts, tea or freshly made ground coffee all for a small charge. There is a large pay and display car park opposite the pub.
