Drawell Cottage & Farmhouse B&B

Drawell Cottage and Farmhouse B & B provide self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation on a working beef and sheep farm within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, located on the Dales Way National Trail, with views of the Howgill fells and Lune Valley. Friendly hosts Janet and James offer a warm welcome. This accommodation is ideally located as a base for a short break or holiday in the Dales, just 2.5 miles from Sedburgh.

George Fox, the famous Quaker, stayed at the historic Drawell Cottage on his way to preach at Fox's Pulpit. The beautiful cottage lounge has oak beams and panelling, an electric wood-effect stove in the inglenook fireplace and a TV. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a washing machine and tumble dryer, with a fridge and freezer in the pantry. There is a king size and twin bedroom, as well as a bathroom. The cottage has enclosed gardens, with a patio and barbeque area. Dogs are welcome.

Bramaskew Farmhouse offers friendly and relaxed bed and breakfast accommodation. There is a king size en suite bedroom and a twin en suite room, including a hospitality tray for making tea and coffee. Both have attractive décor and are well-appointed, with comfortable beds. After a sound night’s sleep, a hearty cooked Yorkshire breakfast will help set you up for the day ahead. Free Wifi access is available and evening meals can be arranged. There is also plenty of free parking.

Sedbergh, ‘England’s book town’ has plenty of places to shop, eat and drink along the quirky narrow streets. The town has the backdrop of the Howgill Fells to the north, which were amongst Alfred Wainwright's favourite hikes. Another local landmark is Castlehaw, a historic former motte and bailey castle. The ever-popular Dales Way National Trail runs for 80 miles from Ilkley in West Yorkshire to Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria.
