Ord House Hotel in Muir of Ord was originally the Lairds house of the Clan McKenzie and still retains original features, elegance and charm. Family-run by Johnny and Eliza Allen, the hotel interior is furnished with antiques, and log fires burn in the hall, drawing room and bar. The house sits in a beautiful 40 acres of its own gardens and woodlands. The Gun Room Bar is a great place to sample a Highland malt, local Black Isle ale or cider and we serve high-quality meals for our customers, maintaining an AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence for many years.
All 12 bedrooms have en-suite facilities, are individually furnished, spacious and have views over the gardens. There are 2 double bedrooms located next to each other in the West Wing of the house, and our twin rooms are on the upper floors of the house. Our Executive Doubles are newly decorated, and each room comes with a queen-size bed. Our two Superior King Double rooms are situated either over-looking the front of the house or on the top floor with views over the pond and back gardens. They both come with a king-size double bed.
After a peaceful nights sleep, you will enjoy a delicious Ord House breakfast, with a variety of hot options as well as a buffet of yoghurts, stewed fruit, fruit compote, fresh fruit salad and cereals and toast.
