Buccleuch Arms Hotel

The Buccleuch, a Georgian inn, dates from 1760 and is brimming with history and tradition. The hotel is found in the High Street in Moffat, just minutes from the A74(M), meaning that we are perfectly situated for your short break or holiday. We have a well-stocked bar, restaurant and superb guest rooms. The hotel also has a function room for up to 60, and facilities for business guests such as our board room, which seats 12. There is free wireless internet access throughout the hotel.

The Buccleuch Bar (known as The Bucc) has over 70 Scottish malt whiskies behind the bar, a great wine and ale list and a jovial atmosphere! The Beef Tub Comfort Grill serves up a delicious home-cooked seasonal menu using the best of Scottish ingredients. The Buccleuch also has 13 en-suite bedrooms; 6 twins, 4 doubles and 3 family rooms) with Freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryers. These are let on a bed and breakfast or room only basis.

Parking in Moffat is free, and you will find no difficulty finding a space around the hotel. In addition, there are 10 motorcycle / bicycle garages located in our gated and locked back garden. Each garage is lockable with plenty of storage space, shelves and hangers, but are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. We also have power washing facilities so that you can clean your equipment.
