Marchbankwood Guest House

Welcome to Marchbankwood Guest House in Beattock, 3 miles from Moffat, in the east of Dumfries and Galloway. The guest house accommodation is close to the main roads and accessible, but far enough away to be in a tranquil countryside setting. Marchbankwood House was built in 1840, and is set in 5 acres of gardens and woodlands. Hosts Sally and Alexander Tait offer a warm welcome and a home-from-home experience. We have spacious accommodation with a real log fire, wonderful views over the Moffat Hills, guest lounge, comfortable bedrooms and ample parking.

Marchbankwood is a 3-bedroomed guest house. All rooms are en-suite with super king-sized beds, with Wifi and TVs in all rooms. The Holly is spacious with an en-suite shower room. This room can be made up as a twin or a super king-sized bed. The Maple is a generously-sized room that can be set up as a super king-sized double bed or a twin. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower over it. The Rowan room is a large room with an en-suite shower room and plenty of space to relax. The Rowan can be made up as a twin or a super king-sized double bed. There is a lovely selection of breakfast items including local sausages, black pudding and haggis.
