This is a beautiful Georgian House independently run by your hosts Angus and Jane Fordyce, whom are passionate about providing the best accommodation and who focus on the smaller details that can sometimes be overlooked by bigger establishments.

Our rooms are doubles with sumptuous beds; all decorated in a unique style. Choose either a Country Room, or a larger Estate Room. One of the Estate Rooms is situated on the ground floor for easier access. Cavens has the honour of being included in Sawdays, The Michelin Guide, The Good Hotel Guide 2017 and Scotland the Best. We are environmentally-friendly and are fully committed to supporting local businesses and suppliers in the area. Cavens is also dog-friendly. Kirkbean village is situated some 12 miles south of Dumfries on the main A710 Colvend coast road from Dalbeattie to Dumfries.
