Blackaddie House is an AA and Scottish Tourist Board 4-Star accredited hotel run by renowned Chef Ian McAndrew (Scottish Chef of the Year 2016) and his wife Jane. This stunning 16th Century building is situated in Sanquhar, on the banks of the stunning River Nith in south-west Scotland and offers first-class dining, alongside superb guest rooms and self-catering cottages. Our menus change daily, and we use only fresh Scottish produce wherever possible. We have two menus, our normal 5-course fine dining dinner menu and a gourmet tasting menu (which needs to be pre-booked as it is not always available).
There are 6 rooms; Grouse, Partridge, Ptarmigan, Mallard, Pheasant and Snipe, and also our River Suite. All room are immaculately presented and include Freeview TV, some with DVD player, and tea and coffee-making facilities with complimentary homemade shortbread. Scottish tablet and Scottish mineral water are also provided. There is also a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games available for guests, and free Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the hotel.
In addition to our guest rooms, there are 3 adjacent riverside self-catering holiday cottages converted from a traditional barn and stables. Each sleep between 2, 4 and 4.
