Kirkcudbright is a harbour town on the Solway coast that has always been popular with artists. Located 10 miles from Castle Douglas and 6 miles from the A75, the town sits on the banks of the River Dee. It is an attractive town with medieval, Georgian and Victorian buildings with lots of events throughout the year like Riding of the Marches and the Tattoo.
