The Old Rectory Cottages

The Old Rectory Cottages is a collection of 6 luxurious self-catering holiday homes accredited with a Visit England 4-Star Gold Award, set within the grounds of a Grade II listed rectory in King’s Nympton, once voted ‘Devon Village of the Year’. In a wonderful location for a holiday, this accommodation is surrounded by scenic countryside and within easy reach of Exmoor, Dartmoor, the Hartland Devon Heritage Coast and North Devon AONB.

The Tythe Barn is a 16th century former barn and the largest property, sleeping 7 guests in 3 bedrooms. This cottage also welcomes well-behaved dogs. Little Nymet is a cosy 1-bedroomed cottage for 2 which can be connected with the 2-bedroomed Nymet Mews for 5 people, to create a larger cottage if required. Woodlands, Hawthorns and Chestnuts all sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms. Some may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The cottages are family-friendly and baby equipment is available by arrangement, free-of-charge. Each cottage offers its own individual style and is thoughtfully furnished and very well-equipped, with central heating and including a living room area with a log burner (except The Tythe Barn), modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. A Smart TV and selection of games, books, local guides and maps are provided. There is ample parking on-site.

Guests can enjoy the heated swimming pool with its adjacent sun terrace, available from late March through to early November. There are also 4-acres of grounds to explore, with a children’s play area, outdoor table tennis, football table and other games, picnic tables, duck ponds and a scenic woodland walk.
