Swallow Barn

Swallow Barn is a sensitively-converted former barn providing Visit England 5-Star Gold Award rated self-catering accommodation for 6 guests, just outside the village of Lydford, on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park. A detached property on 2 levels, set within 2-acres of wild gardens, dogs are also welcome with prior agreement.

This granite-built accommodation features a large sitting room with oak beams, 3-piece suite, TV, double-fronted wood burning stove in the stone fireplace (shared with dining area), small library of books and 5-metre wide glass patio doors providing stunning views right across the moors, and access to the garden and abundant wildlife.

The expansive open plan kitchen and dining area provides contemporary facilities including a coffee machine and dishwasher, with a dining table seating 8 people. The master bedroom has an en suite and there are 2 twin bedrooms and a main bathroom. Wifi and underfloor heating are provided. There is car parking for c. 3 vehicles.

The local area is a haven for outdoors enthusiasts. The village of Lydford is noted for the National Trust Lydford Gorge and waterfall. The stream at the edge of our property flows into the gorge.
