Lydgate House Hotel

Lydgate House is a beautiful Victorian country house hotel with parking, set in 36 acres, along the banks of the East Dart River with uninterrupted valley views, on Royal Duchy land in Dartmoor National Park. Located at the end of a beech tree lined track, visitors will find Tavistock, Moretonhampstead and Chagford a short drive away.

For adults only, all of the guest bedrooms are luxuriously furnished and named after local birds. There are single, double and a spacious superior super king room with the best views in the house and a Victorian ball and claw foot bathtub in the en suite. All rooms have en suite facilities, toiletries, TV, Wifi access, hairdryer and a refreshments tray.

A full Devon breakfast, made with local produce, is served in the garden room and evening meals can also be provided. Guests can enjoy a drink from the bar in the lounge with its wood burner, and also explore the grounds. In addition, there is a self-catering cottage for holiday hire, sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms, set in the grounds of the hotel.
