Situated in the beautiful Taw Valley near Chulmleigh, Lakemoor Campsite is a family-run 5-acre smallholding with a lake, set alongside the river itself and surrounded by the scenic Devon countryside. Easy to find, off the A377 road, Eggesford train station is just a 2-minute drive away. Family-friendly, on-lead dogs are also welcome.
Visitors with tents can camp in the riverside meadow which has direct access to the river. Motorhomes, campervans and caravans can stay on the hardstanding pitches, with most offering electric hook-up. Groups are allowed. The campsite can also be offered for exclusive use, subject to availability and arrangement with the owners.
There is a main amenity block with shower and toilet facilities, washing-up sinks and an honesty shop with essentials such as logs and BBQ coal. Additional composting toilets, as well as fresh water taps are found around the site. Guests will find a communal fire pit, barbeque and undercover seating area. Firepit hire is available.
