The Barn Lunedale

The Barn is an attractive stone-built holiday home for 4, in a rural setting within the North Pennines AONB, near Grassholme. Offering panoramic countryside views, including across towards Grassholme Reservoir Nature Reserve, the Pennine Way also passes within 50 yards. The amenities in Middleton-in-Teesdale are only 4 miles away.

The property features original exposed beams, authentic stonework and a floor-to-ceiling window. There is a living room with a log burning stove and Freesat TV, with extra seating available up in the mezzanine. The kitchen has another log burner, as well as all the modern amenities including a dishwasher, washing machine and dining table.

There is a double and a twin bedroom, plus a bathroom. Outside, visitors will find an enclosed garden with a dining area, plus car parking. The reservoir is a short walk away for wildlife-watching and various water sports including sailing, paddleboarding and fishing. There are also guided talks and tours at Grassholme Observatory.
