The White Lion Inn

A warm welcome awaits visitors at The White Lion Inn, located in the village of Whissendine, 5 miles NW of Oakham, in the rural county of Rutland. This friendly pub offers a bar selling local ales, restaurant, en suite guest rooms, function rooms, outside space including a garden, car park and secure storage for outdoors equipment.

All 8 of the guest bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and equipped with en suite facilities, free Wifi, a TV and refreshments tray. There are single, double, twin and family size with a double and 2 single beds. Two of the bedrooms allow pets with prior arrangement. An English breakfast is served in the morning to overnight guests.

Guests can enjoy fantastic home cooked food and a wide selection of drinks served in the bar and restaurant which benefit from cosy wood burning stoves. There are 2 function rooms and a garden area outside next to the stream with a pétanque court. Rutland Water Nature Reserve is close by for wildlife-watching and water sports.
