The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher is an historic riverside pub with guest suites and rooms, nestled along the banks of the Great Ouse River on the outskirts of Bedford. A friendly and comfortable place to stay for both leisure and business guests, the inn has a friendly, well-stocked bar serving cask ales and an excellent restaurant. There is also the 800-year-old Tithe Barn which is available to hire as a venue for a range of special events, including weddings.

There are the 3 suites, located in the oldest part of the building. The Holt offers a magnificent 4-poster bed, Dragon Fly has a king bed and river views, and The Kingfisher Suite benefits from unique period features. All have luxurious en suite bathroom facilities. There are also double, king and twin bedrooms, each with en suite facilities. All rooms have a TV, hairdryer, free Wifi access and hospitality tray. Breakfast is included.

Guests can also enjoy food throughout the day in the bar and dining room, with our afternoon tea, dinner and lunch menus available to view online. The kitchen produces the best quality dishes with the lowest food miles. Our meat travels under 15 miles from farm to plate and our fruit is delivered from just a mile away!
