Beirhope - Woodland Camping is a small camping site situated on an alpaca retreat in the Scottish Borders region. Completely off-grid and eco-friendly, this is a rural area near the Cheviot Hills, c. 12 miles from Kelso. Guests can take part in organised trekking and picnics with the alpacas.
The campsite has 7 pitches for tents, in a secluded setting. Two of the pitches have their own eco-loo and camping kitchen area, and the other 5 share an eco-loo. There is also the bucket shower. Dogs are allowed on one of the pitches, which is situated away from the alpaca enclosure.
The on-site shop sells hot and cold refreshments, basic camping supplies, gifts and handmade knitwear made from alpaca yarn. Guests are welcome to meet the alpacas and join them on activities. Please see the website for more information about the camping and experiences.
