Waterside Shepherds Hut

Waterside Shepherd’s Hut provides a cosy holiday home for 1 or 2 guests in the village of Barton Hill, on the edge of the Howardian Hills. Nestled by the side of a lake, the hut is furnished in a contemporary style, featuring modern comforts. The local area is wonderful for walking and cycling, plus only 12 miles from the centre of York.

Inside, guests will find a double bed which can be used for seating during the day; as well as a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster and dining table. There is an en suite shower room with wash basin, shower and WC. The outside decking area overlooks the lake, providing a relaxing space where visitors can watch the wildlife.

There is a convenience store and Indian restaurant close by to the accommodation. The historic city of York has an excellent selection of restaurants catering for a variety of tastes, as well as cafés, coffee shops, bars and many interesting places to visit including the city walls, York Minster, Jorvik Centre, Shambles and the museums.
