Cow Close Caravan & Camping

Cow Close Caravan and Camping offers a peaceful, scenic location on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, a mile outside the market town of Leyburn. Touring facilities, camping, glamping pods and self-catering cottages are available, on this small family-run site surrounded by views across Wensleydale and Pen Hill. The site is ideal for those who enjoy outdoors pursuits and is family and dog-friendly.

There are hardstanding pitches with EHUs for caravans and motorhomes, as well as grass pitches with EHUs and a camping area for tents. The 4 Cow Close Pods are well-equipped with heating, a kettle, microwave, fridge and a large bed which converts to a seating area, plus there is an outside picnic bench. Each sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. Site facilities include toilets, showers and outside washing-up sinks. There is also free Wifi and an information kiosk. Assistance to set up your pitch can be provided if required.

Cow Close Cottages can also be hired for self-catering holiday stays. The Byre (sleeping 2 - 4) and The Mistal (sleeping 4) are both located adjacent to the campsite, fully-equipped and very comfortable! Wensleydale and neighbouring Swaledale provide walkers and cyclists with endless opportunities to get out and about. Cow Close sits on a footpath between Leyburn and Bellerby.
