The Old Posthouse Hotel and Restaurant

The Old Post House Hotel is situated in the centre of Clitheroe. A former post office until 1928, this grand building retains historic charm with modern comforts and convenience. We are close to the bus and rail stations and within walking distance of Clitheroe Castle and museum, with free car parking and secure bicycle storage. For disabled access, we have a ramp at the rear of the hotel.

There are 10 en-suite guest rooms which are either single, twin or double. All of our rooms are immaculately presented and will provide a comfortable nights sleep. We serve a delicious cooked breakfast and can provide packed lunches. The hotel has Wifi throughout and facilities for business guests. There is a guest lounge for evening relaxation. Also available are maps detailing numerous walks and hikes for all abilities, plus the best cycle routes in the area.

The market town of Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley is a perfect place to stay for visitors wishing to explore the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visit the Norman Castle that presides over the town and is now home to a Museum and 16 acres of landscaped gardens. There are many walks around the town, an excellent golf course. Clitheroe is well known for its plethora of specialist shops. There is an annual food festival in August.
