The Hammers & Pincers Caravan and Camping Site

The Hammers and Pincers Caravan and Camping Site is a welcoming place to stay for tourers and campers, located next to a friendly country pub in Preston-le-Skerne, near Newton Aycliffe. Ideal for short breaks and holidays, the site is easy to find, just off the A1(M), yet in a rural setting, with good food and a delicatessen on the doorstep!

The site has 20 hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes and a grassed area with space for up to 10 tents. Some of the pitches have electric hook-up and there are clean toilets and hot showers, baby changing facilities, plus water and grey waste disposal points. There is also a play area for children. Dogs are welcome on the site.

The pub and restaurant serves a menu of delicious home cooked food, with a well-stocked bar, deli and gift shop. Weddings, meetings and parties can be accommodated. Newton Aycliffe has shops, a leisure centre, golf course and railway station with trains to Bishop Auckland and Saltburn. Durham, Darlington and Middlesborough are within easy reach.
