Runach Arainn

Runach Arainn offers a collection of luxury yurts nestled within a small orchard at the southern end of the Isle of Arran, near the village of Kilmory. Perfect for couples or families; with lots of space for relaxing, socialising and exploring, this site is very peaceful, surrounded by trees and natural meadows, with lots of interesting local wildlife.

The 3 handcrafted yurts are modelled on the traditional Mongolian design. Two of the yurts sleep 6 people in a double bed and 2 double futons, whilst the smaller yurt sleeps 4 in a double bed and 2 single futons. Bedding / linen is provided. Each has a wood burning stove for heating and cooking, solar-powered lighting, free Wifi, an outdoor picnic bench and fire pit. The bathroom block has a private bathroom / composting WC for each, shared kitchen facilities, pot washing and full size fridge. There are also laundry facilities.

Arran contains a wide variety of scenery and landscapes, from the mountainous Goat Fell in the north to the wonderful beaches all around the island, including Blackwaterfoot, Torrylinn and Lochranza. Sailing, kayaking, walking, climbing, cycling and mountain biking are popular activities for visitors and locals alike. Golf is also a favourite pastime, with 7 golf courses available on the island.
