Callanish Camping Pods

Callanish Camping Pods offer a ‘camping in style’ experience on the Isle of Lewis, in an unspoilt traditional crofting community overlooking lochs, moorland and mountains. The site is also close to Neolithic standing stones. Each timber pod, manufactured in Scotland, has a Gaelic name; Sgadan, Breac, Bradan and Bànag, and sleeps at least 2 people.

Sgadan is a dog-friendly pod with a double bed and 2 camp beds for an additional 2 people. Breac and Bradan have a similar layout and are ideal for larger groups who want to book 2 pods that are closer together. Bànag has its own en suite shower, double bed, sofa bed and extra camp bed if needed. All pods have mains power, a double socket, heating, lighting, double glazing, a microwave, kettle, cool box and sea views. There is also a small table and camping chairs. The pods have access to the shared washroom pod with a toilet and shower. There is also car parking. Callanish Visitor Centre, with a café, is a short drive away. Cyclists are welcome and there are regular buses to Stornoway from the croft.
