Welcome to Kilbride Campsite, situated along the southern coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Overlooking the Sound of Barra and a stone’s throw from a sheltered beach with glistening white sand, it is a popular holiday base and stopover for walkers and cyclists following the Hebridean Way.
There are over 30 hardstanding pitches with electric hook-ups for caravans and motorhomes; and large grassy areas with and without electricity for tents or backpackers. The site provides toilets and showers (including one with disabled access), plus free Wifi, a launderette and kitchen equipped with dishwashing sinks.
Hostel-style accommodation is also provided on the site if required, and there are refreshments served at the adjacent café. As well as scenic walking, there is kayaking and fishing; with the causeway to Eriskay only a mile-and-a-half away. Daliburgh is 5 miles north. Please see the website for more information.
