Ferry View Motorhome and Camping Site is family-run and a relaxed and friendly place to stay with a Visit Scotland Bronze Award for Green Tourism. Located 4 miles from John O’Groats and near Gills Bay for ferries to the Orkney Isles, plus along the North Coast 500 route, it is ideal for holiday makers or those passing through.
There are hardstanding pitches for motorhomes and caravans, plus a grass area for tents. Electric hook-ups are available. Guests can help themselves to the selection of herbs grown on-site. The site facilities include toilets, showers, fresh water taps, a washing machine and communal barbeque area with firepit. Open all year, the site also provides a pit stop for passing vans who want to dispose of any waste or refill with water. Dogs are allowed. Interesting places to visit nearby include The Castle and Gardens of Mey, St John’s Point and the famous signpost in John O’Groats.
