King Robert the Bruce’s Cave Caravan and Camping Site is a family-run park in the Scottish Borders, near the A74(M) and village of Kirkpatrick-Fleming. Set in the historic grounds of the 80-acre Cove House Estate (formerly Dunskellie Castle), which is the site of an Ancient Monument in the form of a cave which provided a refuge in the 14th Century for King Robert, this site is ideal for short breaks and longer holidays.

This park is set in open countryside, with views across the Solway Firth to the Cumberland Hills. Accommodating campervans, motorhomes, caravans and tents, there are also timber camping pods for those who enjoy glamping. Visitors will find excellent facilities including electric hook-ups, a reception / shop, Wifi, family shower rooms, babychanging, disabled toilets and a children’s play area with football pitch.

There are woodland walks around the site, a coarse fishing pond and wild swimming and free fishing along the adjacent river. Attractions in and around the local area include The Old Blacksmiths Shop in Gretna Green, Gretna Retail Outlet, Samye Ling Temple in Langholm, Carlisle Castle and Cathedral, the Robert Burns House and Mausoleum in Dumfries and many more.
