Loose Reins

Relax in the beautiful Dorset Downs, at Loose Reins; a Visit England Gold, ROSE and TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awarded site offering luxury glamping cabins with hot tubs, and homely canvas lodges. The site is located near the Blackmore Vale village of Shillingstone, 5 miles from Blandford Forum and close to the North Dorset Trailway for walkers, runners, cyclists and equestrians.

The rustic cabins are timber-built and furnished to resemble the cabins of the American pioneers. Sleeping 2 - 4, each has a living area with a wood burning stove, equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven and dining table which transforms into a double bed; plus a king size bed and shower room. Outside, there is a covered porch with rocking chairs and dining table, plus a hot tub.

The lodges have wood framed interiors and sleep up to 6 people. They feature a living area with woodburning stove, a kitchen / dining area with gas burner and combi-microwave, a 4-poster bed in one bedroom, a twin bedroom, room with a cabin bed, bathroom with double shower and there is seating on the outside decking. Children’s activities can be arranged if required.
