Bloomfield Camping

Bloomfield Camping is a family-run glamping site with a Visit England Gold Award for Green Tourism, set within a rural 7-acre site, with just 5 yurts and a safari tent. A fantastic location for a holiday, the site is nestled on the outskirts of the picturesque Dorset village of Child Okeford, only 6 miles from Blandford Forum and on the edge of the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The safari tent sleeps 2 adults and up to 3 children. It is equipped with a wood burning stove, seating and a kitchen in the living area, plus a king size bedroom, and a second bunk room with room for a child’s foldaway bed. There is also an outside raised decking area. The 5 yurts sleep 4 in a king size bed and 2 futon beds; with a wood burner in each and a separate kitchen area with seating.

Completely off-grid; all guests can use the toilets, showers, washing-up sinks and phone charging points. There is also an honesty shop selling essentials and gifts. Child Okeford provides 2 pubs; The Saxon Inn and The Bakers Arms, which both serve food. There is a village shop / café and post office. Gold Hill Organic Farm is a short walk away, offering a café that serves lunches, cakes, tea and coffee.
