Polstead Country Park

Polstead Country Park is an adults-only, dog-friendly site open all year round in the peaceful Suffolk countryside. Offering excellent facilities, this park is in a wonderful location for short breaks and holidays, nestled within the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a mile from Polstead and about 10 miles north of Colchester.

A beautifully-landscaped and well-organised site, visitors can choose from a variety of generously proportioned, level hard and grass pitches with good privacy; for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents. Electric hook-up, Wifi, gas, recycling facilities, a motorhome service point and grey waste disposal are available.

Guests will find well-maintained modern showering and toilet facilities with underfloor heating, an accessible bathroom for guests with disabilities, washing-up sinks and a laundry area. On-site facilities also include a reception area with friendly staff and local tourist information, as well as a small on-site shop selling essentials.

There is a pub, The Brewer's Arms, offering a food menu and local ales within a 5-minute walk, and plenty of options for dining in the local area, including at Polstead’s The Cock Inn on the Green. Visitors will find abundant scenic walking and cycling routes criss-crossing the area and lots of opportunities for other outdoors activities.

Cyclists can pick up the South Suffolk Cycle Route within a 10-minute ride. Polstead Country Park provides the perfect base from which to explore Suffolk’s medieval villages and market towns, with the east coast also less than half an hour’s drive away. There are also historical sites, National Trust properties and landmarks aplenty!
