Westermill Farm

Westermill Farm is a traditional 500-acre working hill farm in the heart of Exmoor with a camping site and self-catering cottages. The site is AA 3-Pennant rated, with a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award and run by the Edwards family who provide a warm welcome. A number of waymarked walks traverse the farm and the site is located in the heart of an International Dark Sky Reserve for night-time stargazing.

The campsite is divided into 4 fields. Set up your pitch on mown meadows beside the River Exe where guests enjoy private access to a 2-mile stretch of the river. The first field is fenced off from the river and all of the others are open. There are shower rooms, laundry facilities and a large drying room. Hot water is provided by our eco-friendly wood-chip biomass boiler. Children and dogs are welcome on the site.

Six cosy cottages nestle within grass paddocks on the farm, also heated by our eco-friendly wood-chip biomass boiler using locally-grown wood. Each cottage has a wood-burning stove. The cottages sleep up to 8 people; in 2, 3 and 4-bedroomed options. All are 2-storey apart from ‘Gorse’ which is single-storey. Dogs and horses are welcome, with grazing available.
