Herston Caravan & Camp Site

Herston Camping, Caravanning and Glamping provides a range of pitches and luxury bell tents for glamping. Children and dogs are welcome. Located on the outskirts of the seaside town of Swanage and within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this site has a warm and relaxed atmosphere, with families, children and dogs welcome. Facilities include an on-site shop and play area.

Choose from Seaview Grass Pitches with Electric Hook-up; Laurels Hardstanding Pitches with Electric Hook-up; Hill View and Spearpoint Fully-Serviced Hardstanding Pitches; or Spearpoint Superior Fully-Serviced Hard Standing Pitches. The glamping tents are available for up to 4 people during the summer months, with bookings for 2 nights or more. Firepits are supplied, along with a bag of logs and kindling.

The main shower and toilet facilities are located to the left of the shop, with disabled facilities, but there are also toilets and family shower rooms in each corner of our camping fields. All the shower and toilet facilities are available free-of-charge. There is also a coin-fed launderette. During the summer months, we open our takeaway, offering a range of food for breakfast and evening meals.

There is so much to discover and experience around picturesque Purbeck, the gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Take a trip on the famous Swanage steam train to historical Corfe Castle and enjoy walks along the spectacular coastline or through National Trust countryside, and why not try out some bird and wildlife-watching, fishing, water sports or even sandcastle-building!
