The Steading at Hearthstanes Estate

The Steading at Hearthstanes Estate comprises 5 beautiful stone cottages, nestled around a courtyard on a working hill farm near the village of Tweedsmuir in the Southern Uplands. Offering Visit Scotland 3-Star rated facilities, each cottage is unique and well-equipped for self-catering holidays. In an excellent location for activities and sight-seeing; families, groups, walkers, cyclists and bikers are all very welcome.

Lategillan is the largest cottage, sleeping 6 - 8 people in 3 flexible bedrooms (which can be arranged as king or twin-bedded rooms). Glenheurie sleeps 6 - 7 people in 3 bedrooms with one bedroom on the ground floor. Manyleith is a corner cottage accommodating 4 in 2 bedrooms. Mathieside Cottage and Oliver Dod are both 1-bedroomed cottages for 2 guests, with the former also having a sofa bed in the living room.

All have a comfortable living space, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, free Wifi, TV and parking. The shared courtyard area features picnic benches. The whole farm is eco-friendly, with electricity derived from solar panels and the HEP from the adjacent burn (stream). There is also EV charging.
