The Dunster Castle Hotel

The Dunster Castle Hotel is a Grade II listed establishment built in the 18th century, located just 20 metres from the castle entrance itself, within the historic Somerset village of Dunster, on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Independently-owned by John and Lisa Richardson, the hotel provides a selection of elegant guest bedrooms, a great breakfast and private car park. Special events and functions are hosted in the ballroom and bar.

Each bedroom is unique, offering classic and contemporary furnishings, thoughtfully blending in with the original features. There are spacious premier rooms with super king beds (which can also be arranged as a twin), the smaller yet equally as comfortable double rooms, dog-friendly rooms or the Conyer Room with its exquisite décor. Most bedrooms face Dunster’s medieval cobbled street where guests can watch the world go by.

All rooms are equipped with en suite facilities, Smart TV, USB sockets, comfortable seating and a well-stocked hospitality tray with homemade shortbread biscuits. A hearty Exmoor breakfast is served in the dining room in the morning. Guests can also use the ballroom to relax, watch TV or play on the baby grand piano. Please note the hotel restaurant is currently closed but there are many food establishments open in the village.
