The Shepherds Arms

The Shepherds Arms Hotel, Bar and Restaurant, with a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for guest reviews, is in the village of Ennerdale Bridge on the western edge of the Lake District National Park, directly on the Wainwright Coast-to-Coast walk and within easy reach of St Bees and many of the other iconic Lakes attractions.

The 8 bedrooms have an en suite or private bathroom, toiletries, TV, free Wifi, hairdryer and a refreshment tray. There are double and twin rooms, with 2 of the rooms able to sleep up to 3 people. In addition, 2 of the rooms allow dogs by prior arrangement. Breakfast is included, with ‘Dinner, Bed and Breakfast’ rates available during off-peak times.

The menu comprises homecooked meals made from local lamb and beef, plus fresh lobster from the Cumbrian coast. Vegan dishes are available. Packed lunches can also be provided. The bar is stocked with a range of local real ales, lagers and a choice of wines. There are 2 real fires in the bar, plus seating outside by the beck.
