Swan at Streatley

The Swan at Streatley is a beautifully updated 17th century former coaching inn with a riverside terrace and plenty of parking, located on a peaceful stretch of the River Thames within the Chiltern Hills. Stay in guest rooms overlooking the gardens and water meadows, enjoy a superb food and bar menu, head to the gym and try games on the lawn and water-based activities. The Swan is also a popular venue for conferences, weddings and events.

Stylishly decorated, the 47 rooms are equipped with en suite bath or shower room facilities, complimentary toiletries, a TV, telephone, Wifi, fridge with chilled water and hospitality tray for making hot drinks. There are Small, Medium and Large Double Rooms (some with river views), as well as a Family Suite (sleeping 2 adults and 3 children), River Suite and The Loft. Many rooms are family-friendly and ground floor rooms also allow dogs.

There is an excellent breakfast menu, with a selection of tasty hot and cold choices. Food is also served throughout the day, with tantalising options such as grills, salads, sourdough pizzas and grazing plates. The Gym is open 7 days a week and guests can access riverside wellness, with a selection of health and wellbeing activities available throughout the year including paddleboarding, wild swimming, mindfulness and running clinics.
