The Foinavon

The Foinavon is an award-winning village gastro pub with rooms nestled in the scenic Berkshire Downs at Compton. Formerly known as ‘The Swan’ and now named after the 1967 Grand National winner, husband and wife team Geoff and Joan are still in the riding saddle, offering welcoming hospitality, great food, drink and guest bedrooms.

All 6 bedrooms have benefitted from a recent refurbishment and are thoughtfully decorated in a contemporary style; with en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, TV, Wifi, king size beds, comfortable seating, hairdryer and refreshment tray. A full English breakfast and other options are available to overnight guests in the morning if required.

Anyone can pop in for a drink in the bar and library room, including families and even dogs, or sample the excellent menu of home cooked dishes, which also include half portions for children or senior citizens. Special Pie & Pint and Curry Nights are held during the week. The pub has an attractive beer garden and there is ample car parking.
