The Shears Inn and Country Hotel

The Shears Inn is an 18th century thatched country hotel and restaurant situated in the village of Collingbourne Ducis where the Salisbury Plain meets the North Wessex Downs, about 10 miles south of Marlborough. Ideal for stopovers, short breaks and longer stays, walkers and cyclists are welcome and pets are also allowed.

There are 6 splendid double bedrooms which are comfortably furnished and include en suite facilities, a television with Freeview channels, free Wifi and a refreshment tray for making tea and coffee. There is plenty of car parking and a tasty breakfast is included and served exclusively to overnight guests in the morning.

The food menu includes bar snacks, sharing boards, starters, mains, side orders and desserts, with menus shown on the pub’s website. On Mondays, food is served only to residents or to reservations made at least 24 hours beforehand. From Wednesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner are provided, and Sunday lunch is also available.
