Brickwall Farm

Brickwall Farm is a former dairy farm now offering eco-friendly self-catering holiday cottages in a scenic rural setting near the Essex town of Halstead. Both properties have been sensitively renovated from the old barn and are surrounded by 60 acres of grounds home to rare breed cattle, woodland and a lake. Stabling can be provided for horses and dogs are welcome.

Each cottage retains beautiful original wooden beams, wood or tiled floors and has a timber-cladded exterior. They are heated by a biomass boiler, with electricity from solar panels and fresh water provided from the spring located on the farm. Both have Wifi access, a comfortable open plan living room with a fully-equipped kitchen and seating areas on the courtyard.

Jo’s Cottage is a cosy cottage for 2 guests with a 4-poster bed and en suite shower room. Patsy’s Cottage is perfect as a family holiday home and for those with mobility difficulties, with a twin en suite room on the ground floor and a double en suite room in the attic area. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis court and fishing lake.
