The Haughmond

Welcome to The Haughmond, a 17th century former coaching inn, now a contemporary pub with guest accommodation, located in the village of Upton Magna in the heart of Shropshire. Ideal for leisure and business guests, the inn provides a perfect base for exploring the area including Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Mid Wales. National Cycle Route 81 also passes the inn!

All bedrooms are unique and incorporate the original architecture in the stylish décor. Five of the rooms are named after British deer species and the 2 ground floor dog-friendly rooms are named after owners Mel and Martin’s beloved dogs Basil and Boris. All rooms have a king size or twin beds, en suite facilities, a TV, free Wifi, comfortable seating and a hospitality tray. Bed and Breakfast or Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rates are available.

Self-catering accommodation is also available in the beautiful 3-bedroomed barn conversion, which benefits from its own equipped kitchen. All guests to The Haughmond can enjoy the excellent meals served at the inn, which are produced using the best of locally-sourced ingredients. Sample menus are available to view on the inn’s website. Special diets are happily accommodated, but please do let the staff team know in advance.
