The Castle

The Castle is a 19th century family-run inn situated in the Castle Quay area of central Bedford. Close to the many tourist attractions, River Ouse, Cecil Higgins Museum and only 5 minutes’ walk to Bedford Blues Rugby Ground, as well as the High Street and shopping area, this is a great choice for travellers. The pub has a large car park.

All 5 en suite bedrooms are named after famous castles around Great Britain. Warwick and Windsor are both double rooms; Edinburgh is a twin room; Berkeley is a family suite with a double room and adjoining room with bunk beds; and Bedford has a 4-poster bed and has been adapted for wheelchair users / guests with disabilities.

There are places a short walk away where guests can get breakfast. The bar is stocked with a range of drinks including real cask ales, fine wines and tea and coffee; and there is ample private parking provided. Food is produced by 2 local establishments specialising in Italian and Thai cuisine, served in the bar or out on the terrace.
